The Kids Stole My Brain Cells

 WELCOME to the KSMBC!

I am a wife and mom who made a major lifestyle change from having an IT Career for over ten years to being a stay-at-home mom.  Crazy?  Yes.
But with:

• 3 kids under 10yrs old - one preschooler, and two school agers.
     Hence, the lost braincells.
• A commute and work day that would sometimes make a 12-hour day and dinners at 8:00pm
• A diagnosis of COPD and high blood pressure.
• An ambulance trip to the hospital and a pacemaker for my birthday (at 43!!)
    And that made a total of three life threatening experiences in the past three years

I had to make a change for my health's and family's sake.
What I quickly found out was that being a SAHM has a entirely different set of challenges and opportunities.
Figuring out how to be a teacher for my preschooler, and how to bring in some sort of income took me to the internet world of Social Networking and WAHM sites.   The web can be useful, but fraught with scams and a plethora of totally useless information.  Hence, the scatterbrain network I put myself in.

So, I want to help other moms (and dads!!) like me, but without being all about me .  I do not want this to be just another blog and networking site, with me blabbing about my latest escapades in life.

How?  By offering a site of useful links of what families need today, a place to offer ideas or get opinions, a place to vent, jump to the latest news (facts and opinions), and other stuff.
This will be an ever evolving site for I will encourage feedback by using your posted ratings & comments to find out what is useful to most of you and what is not.
